A beautifully composed still life in oils painted on board representing a violin and pears, framed by a stunning original Parisian 'Montparnasse' style frame. The painting is dated 1959 in red in the bottom left hand corner, next to a monogramme that is as yet undeciphered. The name of the artist is written on the back, but is very difficult to confirm. This is a very strong picture, with the rare addition of an exceptional original frame.
