Antique Glazed Cooking Pitcher
£115.00Price
This type of antique French cooking pitcher, known as a ‘toupin’ is recognisable as such by the handle which allows it to be placed on the hot coals. Used to heat water or other ingredients, this is essentially an early farmhouse kettle! The wonderful yellow glazing, as well as the delicacy of the cut, indicate it was made in southern France in the late 19th or early 20th century.
