An elegant, Romantic landscape by French artist Mario Pinetti. Born in Rome, Pinetti was mainly active in France with a career extending from the early 1910s to the late 1950s. The landscape represents the Impradine Valley and Mount Puy Mary in the French Cantal. Pinetti was a well respected artist in his day, known in particular for his quintessentially French lanscapes which he exhibited in numerous major national exhibitions and for which he was rewarded with many prizes. His works are featured in public collections in France such as the Musée de La Rochelle and the Musée de Poitiers.
